WELCOME

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the world’s largest and oldest arts festival. It takes place in the Scottish Capital for the first 3 weeks of August. Simply put, for theatre lovers, there is no better place in the world to be in the month of August than Edinburgh. 300 venues and nearly 3,000 different productions create an unrivalled celebration of theatre, dance and performing arts. You need to be there!

Classroom @ The Fringe has been created in response to many requests from university faculty and students to create an easy way to come to the Fringe Festival, participate in

the great atmosphere while at the same time have the guidance and security of being part

of an academically structured program. The program will begin in Edinburgh on

Thursday July 31st and conclude on Wednesday August 13th, 2014.

This is a non credit program designed for all students and faculty of theatre at both the undergraduate and post graduate levels. Enjoy a full 2 weeks in Edinburgh on campus at the Queen Margaret University. Included in your package is a series of fantastic workshops and stimulating discussion groups led by faculty from US, Canadian and Scottish universities.    Also included are 10 performances of Fringe Festival productions and of course lots of sightseeing and other cultural opportunities. So sign up by yourself or with your friends, either way you’ll be surrounded by friends once you arrive in Edinburgh.

We invite you to explore the website, get a feel for the excitement and buzz that grips Edinburgh during the Festival. Then when you’re ready, just register right online.

If you have questions, please just send us an email and we’ll get right back to you.
